Natural beauty

These guys are waiting for a natural beauty. They are from a special tribe of caterpillars which specialises in being organic jewellery for local beauties who have a special occasion they need to look pretty for. They descended like this in my path as they could tell from a distance that I don’t wear make up, however, when I got close they said I was too much of a slovenly filthy bucket in my grease stained jogging bottoms to waste their time with me. (I’ve since bought an apron in anticipation of encountering them again.)
As such, these caterpillars are probably still just hanging about, waiting for a local lovely. So if you are one, I commend thee to high tail it down to the North Downs Way, just outside of Old Wives Lees. Once the caterpillars spy you, they will turn from being a path pendant into some kind of adornment for your gorgeous self. As you will be aware, caterpillars know a lot about beauty as they contain their butterfly self within. This is how this tribe was able to break off their evolutionary path and use their species’ knowledge of beauty to a new end.
Once they have found their natural beauty, the caterpillars will arrange themselves in different ways upon the beauty’s body. They might be a necklace, or a ring; some earrings, or a tiara. Maybe some bangles too. It really depends on the outfit you’ve picked and what kind of adornment would match it.
So if you belong to Old Wives Lees and have a special event coming up soon, make sure you take a wander about, slowly mind you, until the caterpillars spy you. Then wait with gratitude as they hitch a ride and turn you into the most dazzling of all the local natural beauties.
